Slovincian National Park, also called Slowinski National Park, lies on the Baltic coast of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in northern Poland between the towns of Leba and Rowy. Established in 1967 and covering about 186 square kilometers, including extensive coastal waters and forests, it is known for its shifting coastal dune fields and takes its name from the Slovincians, a West Slavic people who once inhabited the area. It became a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1977 and a Ramsar wetland site in 1995.
