Stolowe Mountains National Park

Stolowe Mountains National Park protects the Table Mountains in Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland, along the border with the Czech Republic. Established in 1993, it covers 63.39 square kilometers whose distinctive tabletop sandstone landscape began forming about 70 million years ago and has since been carved by long erosion into striking rock formations and a network of narrow corridors and rock labyrinths. Spruce forest planted in the early 1900s covers most of the park alongside peat bogs, and the park is home to deer, wild boar and a range of birds and reptiles.
