Triglav National Park

Triglav National Park is the only national park in Slovenia, established in its modern form in 1981 in the northwestern part of the country, in the southeastern part of the Alpine massif. Mount Triglav, the highest peak of the Julian Alps, stands almost at the center of the park, and from it the valleys spread out radially, feeding two major river systems, the Soca and the Sava, which flow respectively to the Adriatic and the Black Sea.
