Belle Isle State Park (Virginia)

Belle Isle State Park occupies a peninsula in Lancaster County, Virginia, on the Rappahannock River between Deep Creek and Morattico Creek. Opened to the public in 1993 and covering 892 acres, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation manages the park tidewater marshes and woodlands, which support blue herons, osprey, bald eagles, and white tailed deer. The park offers camping, fishing, and boating and is designated an International Dark Sky park.
