Great Basin National Park

Great Basin National Park is a national park of the United States in White Pine County in east-central Nevada, near the Utah border, established in 1986. It takes its name from the Great Basin, the arid region between the Sierra Nevada and the Wasatch Mountains, and protects about 77,180 acres. The park is known for its groves of ancient bristlecone pines, among the oldest known living non-clonal organisms, Lehman Caves, Wheeler Peak Glacier below 13,063-foot Wheeler Peak, and some of the darkest night skies in the contiguous United States.
