Freycinet National Park

Freycinet National Park lies on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia, about 125 kilometers northeast of Hobart. Established in 1916, it shares with Mount Field National Park the distinction of being Tasmania's oldest national park, and covers about 169 square kilometers of the Freycinet Peninsula and Schouten Island. It is known for the curved white sand of Wineglass Bay and the pink and red granite peaks called the Hazards, and it protects forty nine plant and animal species found only in Tasmania.
