Radal Siete Tazas National Park

Radal Siete Tazas National Park, in Curico Province of the Maule Region of Chile near the Descabezado Grande volcano, was reclassified from a national reserve to a national park in 2008 and covers about 41.4 square kilometers between 650 and 2,600 meters elevation. Its best known feature is the Siete Tazas, a series of seven linked natural pools and waterfalls carved into the Claro River, though the February 27, 2010 earthquake opened a fissure that drained the water of the pools into an aquifer; the park also holds the Velo de Novia and La Leona waterfalls.
