Ang Trapeang Thma is a protected landscape of about 126.5 square kilometres in Phnom Srok District, Banteay Meanchey Province, in northwestern Cambodia near the Thai border, reachable from Sisophon or Siem Reap. First protected in January 1999 and redesignated a Protected Landscape in May 2016 under the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, it was established chiefly to safeguard the eastern sarus crane, of which fewer than 1,000 were thought to survive worldwide before cranes were found at the site, and it also shelters long-tailed macaques, Eld's deer and several turtle species.
