Kongernes Nordsjaelland National Park lies in North Zealand, Denmark, and was established in 2018. It covers about 26,250 hectares of forest, lake and cultural landscape, centered on the Gribskov forest and Esrum So, and it also takes in Arreso, the largest lake in Denmark by surface area, and the Tisvilde Hegn woodland. The park holds dolmens, burial mounds, medieval ruins, castles and royal palaces spanning from the Stone Age to the present, reflecting its name, which means the Kings of North Zealand. Its landscape mixes coast, heath, forest and farmland, most of it within a Natura 2000 protected area, and it is home to deer, red foxes, badgers and birds such as white tailed eagles and ospreys. It is administered by the Danish Ministry of the Environment.
