Los Flamencos Sanctuary is a flora and fauna sanctuary on Colombia's Guajira Peninsula, established in 1977 within the country's National System of Protected Areas and covering about 7,682 hectares between the fishing settlement of Camarones and the Tapias River. It is best known for its population of American flamingos and their nests, alongside roseate spoonbills, great egrets, laughing gulls and other waterfowl drawn to its surrounding estuaries and marshes, as well as endemic bird species found in its xerophytic scrubland.
