Messolonghi-Aitoliko Lagoons National Park, established in 2006, preserves lagoon, river and island ecosystems around the Messolonghi and Aitoliko lagoons, the Acheloos and Evinos rivers, and the Echinades Islands in western Greece. Its core zone covers approximately 360.73 square kilometers.
