Moremi Game Reserve is a protected area in Botswana lying on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta. It was named after Chief Moremi of the BaTawana tribe and was designated as a game reserve rather than a national park when it was created, a distinction that allowed the Bushmen, known locally as the BaSarwa, who had traditionally lived there to remain in the reserve.
