Wild Nephin National Park is a national park in County Mayo in northwest Ireland, covering one of the largest expanses of blanket bog in Europe together with the Nephin Beg Mountains. It was created in 1998 as Ballycroy National Park and was expanded and renamed Wild Nephin in 2018, and it now covers about 150 square kilometers. The park includes the Owenduff River, an important habitat for salmon and sea trout, and takes in the most remote point on the Irish mainland. In 2016 it became the first International Dark Sky Park in Ireland, earning Gold Tier certification, and it is designated a Special Protection Area within the Natura 2000 conservation network. A visitor centre in Ballycroy village opened in 2009, and the park is managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service of Ireland.
