Gambia River

The Gambia River is a major river of West Africa, rising on the Fouta Djallon plateau in Guinea and running west through Senegal and The Gambia to the Atlantic Ocean at Banjul. The country of The Gambia takes its name from the river and occupies a narrow strip of land along its banks.
