Natural Arch

Rock Formations and Monoliths

A rock formation in the shape of an arch, created where wind, water or frost erosion has worn through a narrow section of a rock fin or wall, leaving an open span of rock standing above the gap. Arches National Park in Utah, home to more than two thousand catalogued arches, is the world's densest concentration of this landform.
