Barents Sea

Seas

A marginal sea of the Arctic Ocean north of Norway and Russia, named for the Dutch navigator Willem Barentsz. Warmed in part by an extension of the Gulf Stream, it remains ice-free longer than most Arctic waters and supports major fisheries and offshore energy development.
