The named physical land features this atlas documents: mountain ranges and single peaks, plateaus and valleys, canyons, deserts, glaciers, grasslands, rainforests, peninsulas, rock formations, waterfalls and the marine and coastal shapes where land meets sea. This band groups the atlas's landform entities by standard physical-geography type across fourteen sub categories, distinct from the bodies of water and the physical processes, such as erosion or tectonics, that shape a landform over time, each filed in its own neighboring band.
