The physical Earth itself, apart from the political and administrative places people have drawn over it: landforms, bodies of water, protected areas set aside for their natural value, and the physical processes that shape and continue to reshape them. This section holds every natural feature the atlas covers, from a single mountain range or river to the wider process that formed it, so a reader can look up one feature directly or follow the process that explains why it looks the way it does.
