Parika is a port village in the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region of Guyana, at the terminus of the main road from Georgetown, with a population of 4,385 at the 2012 census. It is a transportation hub with ferry services to Bartica, Leguan Island, Wakenaam and Supenaam, and hosts a market drawing more than seven hundred merchants that is especially busy on Sundays. A two lane dual carriageway upgrade from the Demerara Harbour Bridge to Parika began in 2020. The village also has a police station, a post office, hotels and restaurants.
