Kyzylorda Region, written Qyzylorda in the Statoids tables, is one of the regions, called oblys in Kazakh, of Kazakhstan, and its capital is the city of Qyzylorda, also written Kzyl-Orda in older sources. The Statoids table gives its area as 226,000 square kilometres. The 1999 census counted 596,344 residents and the 2009 census counted 678,794, and the census of 1 October 2021 counted 814,931, so the count rose at each census; the 1 January 2026 estimate on citypopulation.de is 846,312. The Statoids page also lists the city of Bayqonyr, the Baikonur launch facility area, as split from this region in 1997, with some uncertainty about the arrangement.
