Anhui is an inland province in East China whose capital and largest city is Hefei, spanning the basins of the Yangtze and Huai rivers. It borders Jiangsu and Zhejiang to the east, Jiangxi to the south, Hubei and Henan to the west and Shandong to the north, and with 61 million people is China's ninth most populous province.
