Buhumuza Province is one of the five provinces of Burundi created in the country's 2025 administrative reorganization, formed by merging the former Cankuzo, Muyinga and Ruyigi provinces. It is the least populous of Burundi's five current provinces, recording a population of 2,052,261 in the 2024 census across an area of about 5,931 square kilometers. Its capital is Cankuzo, while Muyinga is its largest town.
