Home›Strict Nature Reserve›ContinentBrowse ByContinentThis dimension groups protected areas by the continent they are located on. Wikipedia notes that "the idea of continental drift gained recognition in the 20th century," a reminder that even continents themselves have a history, and every protected area sits on one of the seven that resulted. Browsing by continent groups reserves with others from the same part of the world.FactsContinentSourcesComments (0)Reader Challenges (0)FactsComparisonIUCN Category CodeWell-attestedIa - Strict Nature Reserve 1ContinentFilter Results4 entriesArea (sq km)All10,186,000 (1)24,709,000 (1)30,370,000 (1)44,579,000 (1)Country CountAll23 (1)44 (1)49 (1)54 (1)Highest Elevation (m)All5642 (1)5895 (1)6190 (1)8849 (1)PopulationAll592,296,233 (1)745,173,774 (1)1,393,676,444 (1)4,694,576,167 (1)Show ResultsBrowseCompareAfricaContinent1 entryAsiaContinent3 entriesEuropeContinent5 entriesNorth AmericaContinent1 entrySources1.
