The Cayman Islands are a self-governing British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and northeast of Honduras, between Jamaica and Mexico''s Yucatan Peninsula. The islands are the peaks of an undersea mountain range called the Cayman Ridge. Their capital is George Town. Their combined land area across the three islands is about 264 square kilometres (102 square miles), and their 2025 estimated population was 90,577, concentrated mainly on Grand Cayman.
