Ayoun el Atrous, also spelled Aioun el Atrouss, is a town in southern Mauritania and the capital of the Hodh El Gharbi region, situated in the southern part of the Aoukar, a former lake basin. It is served by Aioun el Atrouss Airport nearby and gained a measure of international attention as a stop on the 2007 Dakar Rally.
