Bongor is a city in Chad and the capital of the Mayo-Kebbi Est region, located on the eastern bank of the Logone River, with a population of 29,268 recorded in 2008. During the rainy season from May to September, the Logone River is navigable between Bongor and the national capital, N'Djamena.
