Denau, also spelled Denov, is a city in Surxondaryo Region in southeastern Uzbekistan, near the border with Tajikistan, with a population of about 78,300 as of 2016. It is a commercial center known for its large bazaar and for winemaking tied to a Soviet-era winery, and its area was once part of the historic city-state of Chaganian, which flourished from the 6th to the 11th century.
