Karpasia, Latinized as Carpasia and also known as Karpasion, was an ancient town in Cyprus on the northern shore of the Karpas Peninsula, about three kilometers from the modern town of Rizokarpaso. Tradition credits its founding to the Phoenician king Pygmalion of Tyre, and the moles of its harbour remain visible today.
