Koudougou is a city in Burkina Faso's Boulkiemde Province, about 75 kilometers west of the capital Ouagadougou. With a population of 160,239 in 2019, it is the country's third most populous city after Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso, and it is mainly inhabited by the Gurunsi and Mossi peoples. The city sits on Burkina Faso's only railway line and has small industries, a market, a university and provincial government offices.
