Santo Antonio, also known as Santo Antonio do Principe, is the main settlement of the island of Principe in Sao Tome and Principe and the capital of the Autonomous Region of Principe. Its population of 2,620 recorded in 2012 made up about 35 percent of the island's population, and the town is known for its colonial architecture, including the Church of Our Lady of the Conception and the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, as well as for the traditional Auto das Floripes play performed by its citizens.
