Also Known As Qinghai-Tibet Plateau; also called the Qingzang Plateau
Plateaus and Highlands
The Tibetan Plateau glyph

The Tibetan Plateau is the world's largest and highest plateau above sea level, covering parts of China, India and neighboring states across Central and South Asia. It formed from the collision between the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, the same collision that raised the Himalayas along its southern rim.
