Abisko National Park lies in Norrbotten County in northern Sweden, established in 1909 as one of the first nine national parks in Sweden. Covering about 7,700 hectares, it is composed of valleys framed by mountain ranges to the south and west, with Torneträsk, the largest alpine lake in Scandinavia, bordering the park to the north.
