Alutaguse National Park lies in eastern Estonia and was established in 2018. It sits mostly on the Alutaguse Lowland, an area of sparse settlement and a high proportion of natural landscape, with roughly 54 percent of the park covered by bogs and 42 percent forested. Its rare species include the Siberian flying squirrel, the willow ptarmigan and the black stork.
