Curonian Spit National Park is one of the five national parks of Lithuania, established in 1991 to protect the unique ecosystems of the Curonian Spit and the Curonian Lagoon. It is protected under Lithuanian law on protected areas, has been a member of the EUROPARC Federation since 1997, and is classified IUCN Category II.
