The Ekeby oak is an ancient oak tree near Ekebyhov Castle in Ekero, Sweden, described as the largest living deciduous tree in the country by volume. It was declared a protected natural monument in 1956, and standing alone in an open field, free from competition with other vegetation, it grew to an exceptional size over its roughly 500 years of life; a 2008 measurement confirmed its status as Sweden largest tree by volume.
