Glacier National Park is a national park of the United States located in northwestern Montana, on the border with Canada. It covers more than one million acres and includes parts of two mountain ranges, more than 130 named lakes, over 1,000 plant species, and hundreds of animal species. The park forms the centerpiece of what is known as the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem, a region of protected land covering about 16,000 square miles.
