Grampians National Park lies in Victoria, Australia, between the towns of Stawell and Horsham on the Western Highway, about 260 kilometers west of Melbourne. Established on July 1, 1984, it covers roughly 167,219 hectares of sandstone mountain ranges. The park holds about 90 percent of Victoria's rock art sites and was added to Australia's National Heritage List on December 15, 2006, both for its natural beauty and as one of the richest concentrations of Aboriginal rock art in southeastern Australia.
