Junkerdal National Park lies in Saltdal and Fauske municipalities in Nordland county, Norway, along the Swedish border, established on 9 January 2004 over 682 square kilometers. Its landscape ranges from forested lower ground to arctic-alpine highlands, and it is especially notable for its botanical diversity, sheltering several plant species found nowhere else in Norway or at the southern edge of their range. Large predators and ungulates share the park with wetland bird species.
