Kellerwald-Edersee National Park protects 57.38 square kilometers of the northern Kellerwald low mountain range south of the Edersee reservoir in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district of Hesse, Germany. It was designated a national park on January 1, 2004 and is administered from the town of Bad Wildungen. Since June 25, 2011 its beech-forested area has formed part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site for Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests, valued for documenting the ecological history of European forests since the last ice age.
