Moysalen National Park lies mainly in Lodingen Municipality, with its northern part in Sortland Municipality, on the island of Hinnoya in Nordland county, Norway, established in 2003 to preserve an undisturbed coastal alpine landscape and covering about 51 square kilometers. Its terrain rises from sea level, an unusual trait among Norwegian national parks, to the peak of Moysalen at 1,262 meters, taking in the Vestpollen fjord branch, birch forest, fens and bogs, and supporting white-tailed eagles, golden eagles, Eurasian otters and moose.
