Namdapha National Park

Namdapha National Park is a national park in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, India, covering about 1,985 square kilometers and ranking as the fourth-largest national park in the country. It began as a wildlife sanctuary in 1972 and was established as a national park in 1983, and it contains the northernmost lowland evergreen rainforest in the world at 27 degrees north latitude, with extensive dipterocarp forest. The park is a major Eastern Himalayan biodiversity hotspot, holding more than 1,000 recorded plant species and roughly 1,400 recorded animal species, and it was designated an eco-sensitive zone in 2024.
