Natural Bridges National Monument is a United States national monument in San Juan County in southeastern Utah, roughly fifty miles northwest of the Four Corners, at the junction of White Canyon and Armstrong Canyon within the Colorado River drainage. It protects three natural stone bridges carved from the white Permian sandstone of the Cedar Mesa Formation that gives White Canyon its name, including a bridge ranked among the largest natural bridges in the world. The monument's remote location and low light pollution also made it, in 2007, the first International Dark Sky Park designated anywhere by the International Dark-Sky Association.
