Petkeljarvi National Park lies in Ilomantsi in the North Karelia region of Finland, established in 1956 and covering a small area of light Scots pine forest and eskers. It retains fortifications from the Continuation War, and together with neighboring Patvinsuo National Park it forms part of the North Karelian Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO.
