Pin Valley National Park

Pin Valley National Park is a high altitude protected area of about 675 square kilometers in Himachal Pradesh, India, spanning the Spiti valley of Lahaul and Spiti district and the Bhaba valley of Kinnaur district as part of the Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve, near the town of Kaza. Established in 1987 at elevations from roughly 3500 to more than 6000 meters, the park is a stronghold for the snow leopard alongside the Siberian ibex, Himalayan blue sheep, red fox and pika, and its landscape carries Buddhist Tibetan monasteries and stupas together with 22 rare and endangered medicinal plant species across ten habitat types.
