Sanriku Fukko National Park runs along the Sanriku Coast of Aomori, Iwate and Miyagi prefectures, Japan, created on May 24, 2013 in the aftermath of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, covering about 285 square kilometers. Its coastline combines uplifted cliffs in the north, including the Kitayamazaki cliffs stretching eight kilometers and rising 200 meters, with a submerged ria coastline farther south around Jodogahama beach.
