Seitseminen National Park lies in the municipalities of Ikaalinen and Ylöjärvi in Finland Pirkanmaa region. Established in 1982 and expanded in 1989, the IUCN Category II park covers about 45.5 square kilometers of boreal forest, mixing productive coniferous stands on higher ground with sphagnum wetlands in low lying areas, and it preserves some of Finland oldest accessible forest. The park received European protected area recognition in 1996.
