Stora Sjöfallet National Park lies in Norrbotten County in Swedish Lapland, established in 1909 as one of the first nine national parks in Sweden and covering about 127,800 hectares. Its northern portions lie in the Scandinavian Mountains, home to some of the highest peaks in Sweden, while the lower hills of its southern part are covered with forest.
