The Wadden Sea National Parks are a group of national parks in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands along the German Bight of the North Sea. Although divided from one another by national and administrative borders, they protect a single connected ecological region, the Wadden Sea, whose German and Danish sections are also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The parks exist specifically to protect the Wadden Sea ecoregion and its tidal flats and wildlife.
