Lagos State is a state in southwestern Nigeria. Of Nigeria's 36 states, Lagos is the first or second most populous state depending on the source, but is the smallest by area. Its population was estimated at 13,491,800 in 2022 across an area of 3,577 square kilometers, and its capital is Ikeja.
