The Islamabad Capital Territory is a federal territory of Pakistan centered on Islamabad, the country's capital, at the foot of the Margalla Hills on the northern edge of the Pothohar Plateau. It borders Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province to the west and the districts of Punjab Province in the remaining directions, covers about 906.5 square kilometers, and had a population of over 2.3 million at the 2023 census.
